Why Redback?
Over 30 years of recycling industry experience has taught us a thing or two about manufacturing the most durable and operator-friendly heavy-duty grinders.
Redback horizontal grinders are engineered for simplicity and built tough for the hardest:

Challenges
Blending the best of three continents, Redback grinders have tamed the harshest Australian environments, feature precise German engineering to provide power, efficiency, and remarkable throughput, and are built for American independence with a simple design for in-field maintenance and repair.
With 30 years of heavy-duty grinder experience behind it, Redback horizontal grinders have serious power to handle the hardest materials. Its rotor allows adjustable hammer positioning to suit multiple grinding applications, and user-friendly design allows for easy onsite maintenance with minimal disassembly.
With the widest feeding table and feeder floor in its class, Redback’s innovative design uses high-torque motors to directly drive the infeed conveyor and feed wheel instead of a chain drive to be more reliable and provide maximum uptime. Its wide discharge belts (72” on DS1125T and 60” on DS800T) enable a low bed depth so neodymium cross belt magnets are more effective at removing ferrous materials.
What really sets Redback apart from other machines is its toughness and resilience. The Adjustable Contamination Detection System has a customizable threshold that instantly disconnects the drive system when contamination is encountered, preventing damage, downtime, and revenue loss.
Most importantly, Redback horizontal grinders are bottom-line friendly. With advanced engineering that squeezes more power and efficiency from its CAT engines, you’ll see lower fuel consumption, more product consistency and less regrinding, a higher usable product yield, and a lower overall cost per ton. Plus, Redback grinders provide more uptime which means more production. Our grinders feature an advanced cooling system developed in conjunction with Caterpillar® to help prevent overheating so you can run harder and work longer.
That means a significantly lower cost of ownership which will increase your profitability.
